Container Loading Planning
Plan container and truck loads safely and efficiently: inner and door dimensions, CBM and utilisation, stacking and orientation rules, weight distribution, securing and VGM. Finishes with a quiz and two 3D simulations in Cargo Studio.
Instructor: Tim Academy Stowage.id
What you will master
- ✓ Read inner dimensions, door opening, payload and the CSC plate to choose the right container.
- ✓ Calculate CBM, volume and weight utilisation, and cartons per container while accounting for broken stowage.
- ✓ Apply stacking, orientation, support and dunnage rules so cargo is not damaged.
- ✓ Spread weight across the floor, secure the cargo and understand the VGM obligation under SOLAS.
- ✓ Build mixed load plans for a 40HC container and a CDD truck using Cargo Studio 3D.
