All Risks Cover
All risks is a cargo cover against all physical loss or damage from external causes except those expressly excluded, normally based on Institute Cargo Clauses (A). Despite the name, standard exclusions still apply, including insufficient packing, inherent vice, delay, ordinary leakage or loss in weight, and wilful misconduct of the insured. Good packing and load securing therefore still decide whether a claim is paid or declined.
