EXW (Ex Works)

Abbreviation: EXW

Ex Works puts the least obligation on the seller: the goods are simply made available at the seller's premises, not loaded onto the buyer's vehicle. The buyer bears loading, transport, export and import, and all the risk. In Indonesian practice the export declaration (PEB) must still be lodged by a registered exporter, which foreign buyers often cannot do easily. For exports, FCA is usually more workable because the seller handles loading and export formalities.

  • FCA (Free Carrier)

Free Carrier means the seller hands export-cleared goods to the carrier nominated by the buyer at an agreed place.

  • Incoterms

Incoterms are the ICC rules that set the delivery point, the transfer of risk, and the split of costs and customs duties between seller and buyer.

  • Export Declaration (PEB, BC 3.0)

The PEB is the customs export declaration, form code BC 3.0, governed among others by PMK No.
