Stretch Wrap

In Indonesian: Stretch Film (plastik wrapping palet)

Stretch wrap, or stretch film, is elastic plastic, usually LLDPE, wound under tension around a pallet load so the cartons hold together and do not shift. The wrap should also lock in the pallet base, not just the cartons. It protects against dust and keeps the unit stable, but it does not replace blocking, bracing or lashing inside a container or truck.

  • Palletizing

Palletizing is arranging cartons or goods on a pallet so that a forklift can move them as one unit.

  • Dunnage

Dunnage is material used to fill voids, block, separate and protect cargo, such as timber beams, boards, fibreboard sheets and inflatable dunnage bags.

  • Lashing

Lashing means securing cargo so it cannot shift under the accelerations of a sea voyage or a road journey.
