LD3 Container (AKE)

In Indonesian: Kontainer LD3 (AKE) Abbreviation: LD3

The LD3, or AKE, is the most common lower-deck ULD container on wide-body aircraft. Catalogue data: base 1,534 × 1,562 mm, height 1,626 mm, tare 82 kg and maximum gross weight 1,588 kg. One side is contoured to the curve of the fuselage, so large cartons may not fit in the sloped section. LD3s carry baggage and belly cargo. Check the airline's weight limits and rules, since variants and loading restrictions differ.
