Booking Confirmation
A booking confirmation is the carrier's written confirmation that space on a vessel has been allocated. It shows the booking number, vessel and voyage, estimated departure, container type and quantity, the depot for empty pick-up, and the SI, VGM and cargo cut-offs. The booking number is used to collect the empty box and to gate in at the terminal. Check that the container type, such as 40HC rather than 40GP, matches your load plan.
