Loading Metre (LDM)
A loading metre (LDM) is a metre of trailer deck length used, common in European road freight for pricing part loads. With a trailer width of about 2.4 m, one EUR pallet of 1,200 × 800 mm equals 0.4 LDM and a 1,200 × 1,000 mm pallet equals 0.5 LDM. A standard 13.6 m trailer usually takes about 33 EUR pallets. Non-stackable cargo is charged for its full floor length. In Indonesia, truck rates are more often per trip, per kg or per m³.
