Delivery Order (DO)
A delivery order is the instruction from the carrier or its agent at destination to release the container to the consignee. It is issued once the consignee surrenders the original B/L (or a telex release is in place) and pays local charges. In Indonesia, the DO together with customs release (SPPB) is needed to take the container out of the terminal; many carriers now issue it electronically. A late DO means free time keeps running.
