Export Service Note (NPE)

In Indonesian: NPE (Nota Pelayanan Ekspor) Abbreviation: NPE

The NPE is the customs approval that export goods declared on a PEB may be loaded onto the means of transport. Terminals and shipping lines usually require it before an export container goes on board, so a late PEB or NPE can leave a box behind even when it is already in the container yard. If the shipment is routed to the red channel, the physical inspection must be completed first. Keep the NPE with the PEB, as both are needed for export and tax records.

  • Export Declaration (PEB, BC 3.0)

The PEB is the customs export declaration, form code BC 3.0, governed among others by PMK No.

  • Closing Time (Cut-off)

Closing time is the last moment a full container may gate in at the terminal and still be loaded on a given vessel.

  • Container Yard (CY)

A container yard is the stacking area in a terminal where full and empty containers are stored before loading or after discharge.

  • Customs Channel (Red, Yellow, Green)

The customs channel is the risk-based routing of an import or export declaration that decides how much checking it gets.
