Customs Channel (Red, Yellow, Green)
The customs channel is the risk-based routing of an import or export declaration that decides how much checking it gets. Red means physical inspection plus document review, yellow means document review without physical inspection, and green means release without inspection, subject to later audit. Priority facilities such as MITA and AEO exist for compliant traders. The red channel adds time and cost, which is why accurate declaration data matters.
