Packing List
A packing list itemises a shipment package by package: package numbers, packaging type, contents, net and gross weights, dimensions and shipping marks. Customs officers use it during physical inspections, warehouses during stuffing and stripping, and forwarders to work out CBM. For example, 120 cartons of 50 × 40 × 30 cm make 7.2 m³. Total weight and package count must match the commercial invoice and the B/L.
