IDBDJ Indonesia Seaport Airport

Banjarmasin (Trisakti)

Banjarmasin, Kalimantan Selatan

About the port

Trisakti Port in West Banjarmasin is South Kalimantan's main port. It sits on the Barito River, so ships enter through a river channel from the Java Sea. The port is the discharge point for consumer goods, building materials and industrial supplies arriving mainly from Surabaya and Jakarta, and the loading point for South Kalimantan's own produce.

The port falls under PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 3. Containers are handled at TPK Banjarmasin, operated by Pelindo Terminal Petikemas, while the general cargo and bulk quays are run by the Pelindo Multi Terminal branch at Trisakti. The split means that break-bulk and container cargo follow different procedures and tariffs.

Banjarmasin's UN/LOCODE is IDBDJ. Most container services here are domestic routes, so exports usually need transhipment at Tanjung Perak, Tanjung Priok or an overseas hub. The depth of the Barito channel depends on the tide, so berthing windows can shift; leave slack in your stuffing and trucking plans. For bulk and project cargo, agree early with the shipping agent on which quay will be used.
