IDPMB Indonesia Seaport

Patimban

Kabupaten Subang, Jawa Barat

About the port

Patimban Port is on the north coast of Subang Regency, West Java, built as a new port to serve the industrial estates east of Jakarta such as Karawang, Purwakarta and Subang. Unlike other major ports in Java, Patimban is not run by Pelindo: PT Pelabuhan Patimban Internasional (PPI) was named port operator under a public–private partnership scheme in December 2021.

The first activity to start was the vehicle terminal. PT Patimban International Car Terminal (PICT), owned by Toyota Tsusho (34%), Toyofuji (26%), NYK (25%) and Kamigumi (15%), has handled car exports and shipments since December 2021. For containers, PT Patimban Global Gateway Terminal, owned by AGL (45%), Toyota Tsusho (34%) and Samudera Pelabuhan Indonesia (21%), plans to begin operations in 2026.

The UN/LOCODE IDPMB appears in UNECE's pre-release publication and is not yet in production release 2025-1, so some carrier systems may not recognise it yet. For cargo owners in eastern West Java's industrial estates, Patimban could shorten trucking distances compared with Tanjung Priok. Check vessel services, schedules and the operating status of the container terminal before changing your shipping route.
