IDPNJ Indonesia Seaport

Panjang (Bandar Lampung)

Bandar Lampung, Lampung

About the port

Panjang Port in Bandar Lampung is the main port of Lampung province and the closest sea gateway to Java at the southern tip of Sumatra. It sits on the relatively sheltered Lampung Bay and handles commodity flows from inland Lampung as well as the distribution of goods to the surrounding region.

The port falls under PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2. Containers are handled by IPC TPK, a Pelindo Terminal Petikemas subsidiary, while bulk and general cargo is handled by PTP Nonpetikemas of the Pelindo Multi Terminal group. In IPC TPK's early-2026 performance update, the Panjang area was among its terminals with the fastest container growth.

UN/LOCODE lists two codes: IDPNJ for Panjang port and IDPJG for the rail function in the same area. Use IDPNJ for ocean bookings. Lampung is known for agricultural and plantation commodities, so many shippers here use 20-foot containers for heavy, dense loads. Make sure each container's gross weight stays within road limits and the container's own rating, and submit the VGM before the carrier's deadline.
